This king size quilt was brought in by one of my newer customers, Sue. So many pieces! This quilt is spectacular!
I
used YLI "White" cotton thread and the digital quilting
design is called "Alpine Grande", and is available from Urban Elementz. The perky little flowers and swirls really compliment the florals in the fabrics.
Here are two closeups of the quilting, on the front and back of the quilt.
Below is a short video, that highlights the photos of the quilt, and below that is another video of the quilting. There was a glitch and I was unable to combine the two. Sorry!
The size of this quilt is approximately
99" x 107", and the cost for my services was $189.45, which included
a set up fee, digital edge-to-edge quilting, and thread. Sue provided her own
batting. The batting I sell is not wide enough - only 90" - so I would not
have been able to sell Sue batting. And the quilt was finished and ready to be
picked up in only a couple of days!

Every now and the, we quilters work long and hard on a quilt top, only to wonder if we actually like it when it's all finished.
This was one of those quilts for my customer, Heather. She brought it in saying that she just didn't like it, but she thought she might as well have it quilted.
I worked together with Heather to pick out a pattern that would dress up this ugly duckling and turn it into a swan. We were both really thrilled with the finished quilt!
I
used YLI "Natural" cotton thread, the digital quilting
design is called "Chinese Porcelain", and it is available from Intelligent Quilting, Inc. The flower patterns in the design mirrored the hydrangeas in the fabric.
Here are two photos of the quilting, on the front and back of the quilt.

The

This wall hanging came in from Ann, just in time to be finished for Christmas, and the colors and theme really ushered me into a Holiday Mood!
I
used YLI White cotton thread, and the digital quilting
design is called "Spider Lily", and it is available from Urban Elementz. This is my go-to design for Christmas quilts, because the flowers remind me of poinsettia blossoms, and the swirly tendrils remind me of curly Christmas ribbons.
Here are a few photos of the quilt in progress.

When my new customer, Ann, brought me this wall hanging to quilt, I was so excited, because I love working with Fall colors!
I used one of my favorites threads - YLI "Pyramids of Giza" cotton, which is variegated shades of off white and beige. The digital quilting design is called "Pumpkin Vines", and it is available from Anne Bright Designs. This design has delicate leaves and lots of swirly tendrils, and I love the motion that it brings to the quilt top!

Sue brought in a beautiful quilt! In a rare move for a quilter, Sue is keeping this quilt for herself and will use it on her bed.
I
used YLI "Pyramids of Giza" cotton thread. The digital quilting
design is called "Nemesh's Feather Grande", and it is available from Urban Elementz. The large flowing feathers and swirls add so much motion to the quilt, and help break up and soften the angular lines on the blocks.
Here are a few photos of the quilting process.
The quilting is finished, and now Sue can sew on the binding.
I just love it when a customer shows me a photo of a quilt in its new home! I got this photo from Sue, showing this beautiful quilt on her bed!

The
size of this quilt is approximately 93" x 93", and the cost for my
services
was $155.13, which included a set up fee, digital edge-to-edge quilting, and thread. Sue provided her own
batting. The batting I sell is not wide enough - only 90" - so I would not
have been able to sell Sue batting. And the quilt was finished and ready to be
picked up in only a couple of days!

I was shopping at The Fabric Center in Morris, Illinois, and a saw quilt on display that I just loved. I have a lot of "stash" and I decided to make a the quilt in greens and blues, which I had plenty of.
I found out that the name of the pattern is "Strip Twist" and there are many examples of the quilt on the internet. I used the pattern I found on "Oh Sew Tempting" and dug into my bins of fabric. After finishing the blocks and sewing them together, I used more of my stash for the two borders and the binding. I bought a nice pale green polka dot flannel for the backing at a JoAnn Fabric and Craft Store.
The finished size of the quilt is 55" x 70".
I used Warm
and White cotton batting, also purchased from JoAnn. The digital quilting design, one of my all time favorites, is
called "Pergola" and I purchased it from Urban Elementz,
where I get most of my designs. The
thread I used was YLI White cotton.
UPDATE: I didn't know it while it was being made, but this quilt ending up being given as a Christmas gift to my son Barry's girlfriend, Anne. She had her choice of three different quilts, and chose this one, saying it really spoke to her heart. Here is a photo of Barry and Anne snuggling with the quilt, and some photos of the quilt before they got it.

In a post a few days ago, I mentioned that I made a quilt for my grand niece, then decided it was not really a kid's quilt. I went back to The Fabric Center and found this collection of 2.5" X 42" strips. It is "Parakeet" by Free Spirit Fabrics, part of the Kaffe Fassett Collective.
I also bought fabric for the borders and binding there.
I purchased a really fun and colorful flannel at a JoAnn Fabric and Craft Store that looks like it was made for this quilt!
The finished size of the quilt is 55" X 70".
I used Pellon cotton batting, also purchased from JoAnn. The digital quilting design is
called "Nemesh's Feather Grande" and I purchased it from Urban Elementz. The
thread I used was YLI cotton "Pastels".
Here are two photos of the making of the quilt.
Here is the finished quilt.

I finished the quilt, start to finish, in a day and a half and delivered it to my niece two days before the baby was born!
