On June 30, 2012, I created a website to go along with my
new Professional Long Arm Machine Quilting business. I loved being able to have
a place to direct customers where they could see photos and videos of my work,
and to check my prices and services. That went well, and I created a Facebook
page to post my website posts to.
At least, it went well until February 2019,
when I got a new email address and was locked out of my website. So, I have
been without a website for almost three years now.
I finally decided to go ahead a start another one, and this
is it. If you would like to go back and look at the older posts, you can visit
Rebecca’s Quilting by clicking here. Keep in mind that I have no way to access
it, so I have no way to update information or pricing. Sorry about that!
I have been working on restoring posts from the old website to the new website, and adding posts that should have been created during the time that I was locked out of the old website.
This post is doing double duty – letting you know that I
have a website again, and disclosing that I am not responsible for the outdated
pricing on the old website!
No, you're not seeing double! This
kid size quilt, made by Marilyn, is almost a double of the one from yesterday! On this one, the backing is a Mickey Mouse themed fleece, so this quilt is also especially cuddly and
warm! The other little baby this is going to is going to love it, too!
I
used YLI White cotton thread. The digital quilting
design is called "Fidget", and it is available from Anne Bright Designs. I think this design is a great choice for a kid's quilt.
Here are a few photos of the quilting in progress.
And here is the finished quilt, ready for Marilyn to bind.
Here is a short video of the quilt being digitally quilted with my Tin Lizzie
Ansley 26 quilting machine and Butler Perfect Stitch computerized system. Maximize the

The
size of this quilt is approximately 49" x 57", and the cost for my
services
was $69.29, which included a set up fee, digital edge-to-edge quilting, Pellon cotton batting, and thread. And the
quilt was finished and ready to be picked
up in only a couple of days!
As it happens, Marilyn won a prize in "The Quilter Games" contest in 2021, and received a $25 gift certificate, and she also referred a customer to me, which earned her another $10. So this quilt actually only set her back $34.29!

This kid size quilt was made by Marilyn, one of my longest-time customers! The backing is a raised-dot Minky, so the quilt is especially cuddly and warm! The little baby this is going to is going to love it!
I
used YLI White cotton thread. The digital quilting
design is called "Champagne", and it is available from Anne Bright Designs. Marilyn and I both love this design, because the large and small circles resemble the head and ears of Mickey himself!
Here are a few photos of the quilting in progress.
And here is the finished quilt, ready for Marilyn to bind.

My new customer, Gloria, brought me quite a challenge when she came to my home studio bearing two large bags filled with her late father's shirts. Normally, memory quilts are made from T-shirts, but there were only two T-shirts among the twenty-four shirts delivered. There were regular button down shirts and polo shirts, too, and Gloria had divided them into two groups, one to make a blue quilt and one to make a green quilt.
I used YLI Pyramids of Giza cotton thread, which is contains variegated off whites and beiges. The digital quilting design for the green quilt is called "Outside In", and the design for the blue quilt is called "Bean Sprout". Both Designs are available from Urban Elementz.
Here are a few photos of the quilts in progress.
Here is the first completed quilt.
And now for the green quilt.
Here is the second completed quilt.

UPDATE: Gloria just sent me photos of her family with the Memory
Quilts I made for her recently! I rarely get to see quilts again after
they leave my studio, so I love this! Thanks, Gloria!

This lap size quilt has very special meaning for my customer, Becky. The homespun fabrics had been collected by her mother, who has recently passed away. The dark blue sashing in between the blocks was cut from her mother's clothing. Since this quilt is headed for a camper, Becky chose a fun novelty camping fabric.
I
used YLI White cotton thread, and the digital quilting
design is called "Classic Stipple 1", and it is available from Intelligent Quilting, Inc. Because of all the patterns in the block fabrics, Becky chose this simpler pattern, so it would add fun and motion to the quilt without taking away too much attention from the homespun fabrics.
Here are a few photos of the quilting process.
And here is the finished quilt, ready for Becky to bind.

This lap size quilt was made by Phyllis. The top and back of the quilt are both made of flannel, and Phyllis says it was a real challenge! Although she may not be making another all-flannel quilt in the near future, this one came out absolutely adorable, and was well worth the extra effort.
I used YLI cotton thread in variegated primary colors. The digital quilting
design is called "Van Gogh", and it is available from Anne Bright Designs. It's a fun design for a fun quilt, and I know the recipient of this gift is going to love it!
Here are a couple of photos of the quilt.

The
size of this quilt is approximately 59" x 79", and the cost for my
services

This quilt was brought in by my customer, Phyllis. I just love the look of it, and had a lot of fun doing the quilting.
I
used YLI "Pyramids of Giza" cotton thread which is a variegation of off whites and beiges.
The digital quilting
design is called "Feather Meander", and is available from Urban Elementz. I love this particular pattern. I've used it on my personal quilts and recommend it often to my customers.
Here are two closeups of the quilting, on the front and back of the quilt.
